Starry Starry Room 13!

We have been looking at the work of Vincent Van Gogh. We have produced our own versions of Starry Starry Night with pastels, paint, wool and different textured papers.

What are you pleased with in your picture?

We also listened to a song by Don Maclean called 'Vincent', while we looked at our pictures.

How did it make you feel?

We have been writing fairy tales. They always start with 'Once upon a time', then usually the beautiful heroine has a problem, something magical happens and the story gets exciting, the problem is solved and then they all live happily ever after!

What is your favourite fairy tale?

In Maths this week we have been looking at the digits in numbers and trying to work out what they mean. Which is your favourite game?

http://www.oswego.org/ocsd-web/games/DogBone/gamebone.html Find the hidden bones!

http://www.ictgames.com/dinoplacevalue.html Make the dinosaur roar!

http://www.ictgames.com/arrowcards.html Make sums to match the numbers

http://www.ictgames.com/sharkNumbers_v2.html Find the dolphin, not the shark!

This week's Big Book was called Crumpet the Cat. He was a quite a cheeky cat who invited all his friends over to play when his owner was away.

We pretended to be cats, listening to the songs from the musical 'Cats'. Our cat actions were pretty good! In fact we came up with lots of ideas for a dance which we want to try out next week!
