Week 7's Maths

We have been doing some exciting Maths this week. As well as our work on addition, we have been using our skills to play some great games and investigations.

'We had to answer questions and we discovered that the answers made the number 52 on our 100 grid!'

'We designed this picture ourselves with triangles, diamonds and circles. How many lines of symmetry does it have?'

Here we are playing Maths games on Friday afternoon with our Room 8 buddies. They were great teachers.

Our orienteering recount

Who, what, when, where?

On Friday Team 4 did some orienteering on the field.

Step by step using time words

First we had to learn to read a bird's eye view map. Then we were given the instructions. After that we had to find 6 places around the junior field and playground and clip our map.

Personal comment

We were proud of ourselves, that we were able to find the clues so quickly. Orienteering is awesome!
