Here we are floating down the river in HMS Rait. As we learn more about our water topic we will make it further down the river! This week we learned about the water cycle and how we can compare the volume of different shaped and sized containers. 
Miss Rait rang us on Tuesday and came to visit us on Thursday. It was so lovely to see her. She will be popping in for the next two weeks during reading time. We all want to show her how much progress we have made with our reading! The water theme seems to be getting everywhere! Here are some of our reading books this week.
Our big book was about a crocodile who just couldn't listen to the monkey's advice. However at first we read a completely different version of the story until Jonty noticed that some of the pages were missing!
Jumbo the elephant helped us to do some fun maths. Jumbo likes buns and his favourite place is the fun house. We found different routes through the funhouse to see how many buns he could eat! We are getting great at adding strings of 3 digit numbers!
On Thursday night lots of us went to the school disco. It was awesome! Here we are in our party outfits. We had great fun.
Autumn is here! We did some bark and leaf rubbings to produce these pictures. Next week we are going to write some poems to go with them.
So just another quiet week in Room 13.....
