Book Week

We have had a wonderful Book Week.

Our special book this week has been Weslandia - it tells the story of an outcast called Wesley who doesn't want to the same as everyone else. His brain 'sparks' when he thinks about his school project and he decides to create his own civilisation which he bases around his special plant. We loved the book - it taught us lots of new words. We wrote a book review and designed a flag for Weslandia.

Craig Smith, the author of Wonky Donkey came to sing to us in the hall. Jonty said "He must have practised a lot because he was awesome!'

We were treated with lots of guest readers.

Finally on Friday we all got to dress up as book characters for the school parade.

Happy Reading! From Harry Potter, Zac Powers, Rupert the bear, Pocahontas, Buzz Lightyear, Spiderman 1,2 and 3, Kinght, Robin Hood, Butterfly, Bee, Snow White 1&2, Cinderella 1&2, Alice in Wonderland, Batman, Indiana Jones and Captain Yellowbelly and of course the Cat in the Hat!
